Compact Computer Desk
Selecting a Compact Computer Desk for a Home OfficeI do not have much room at all in my home office, so when it came to looking for a workstation I started shopping for a compact computer desk. It seemed like it would be a major problem at first because I have a laptop, PC, monitor, printer, scanner, phone, speakers, router, and some loose office items like binders, pens, stapler, etc. I didn't want some enormous desk cluttering up my small office, so I felt finding a small desk that was efficiently designed would be the best fit for me. Many people are running their whole business from a laptop nowadays, so a table that will hold one may be enough. The LM1 Rolling Laptop over the bed table is great option that I found online. It adjusts in height from 26 to 38 inches and has adjustable tilt to give you the perfect angle. Also, the table offers retention lips that will secure your laptop and other stationary. One of the best features is that it rolls, so you can move it about the office if necessary. Don't be worried about how sturdy this compact desk is either because it has reinforced thick H-type framing and four 2" casters. These features ensure better mobility and sturdiness. The Compact Computer Desk Cart from Techni-Mobili™ model #2018G is found for sale on many websites; Amazon is just one of them. A unique feature about this desk that caught my eye was that the monitor/printer shelf adjusts to center, left, or right. It includes a side vertical CD rack holder, a bottom panel for CPU and accessories, and double wheel non-marking locking casters. It measures 36" H x 27.5" W x 19" D, so it is designed with space-saving in mind. Priced at $49.99, it will really appeal to anyone looking for a small desk on discount. An Ergonomic Compact Computer Desk Workstation model #D9336 is another option I considered. I found one at Overstock.com that I almost bought. It's dimensions are 43" W x 20" D x 30" H. This desk is made of wood and steel and comes with a 5 year limited warranty. The customer reviews were not very good on this item, so I decided against it. Eventually, I found that an L shaped computer desk would be the best fit for my office because it could fit in the corner. I decided to spend a little more for quality because I planned on using it for years to come, so it wasn't cheap by any means. I like the wood combination of pine and oak because it provides stability to my working area, and I really need that because of all the equipment I keep on my desk. It probably is not the ideal fit for an executive office, but it meets my needs just fine. |
